Play Date at Chuck-E-Cheese
On Saturday, Natalie had a play date with one of her friends from school, Mythili, at Chuck E. Cheese. It was Natalie's first trip to Chuck E. Cheese. She enjoyed having pizza and riding all the rides. Natalie especially had a great time riding the horse.

Sunday Ethiopian Dinner with Diane
On Sunday, Natalie went out to the Queen of Sheba Ethiopian Restaurant in Addison with our friend Diane. Everyone enjoyed their meal, but Natalie especially enjoyed the stuffed bunny and puzzle book she received from Diane.

Valentine's Day Dinner
Natalie celebrated her first Valentine's Day by going out for dinner to a local Steakhouse. She got all dressed up for the big night out and looked pretty in pink.

Our Little Artist
Natalie spent some of her snow day drawing a special picture for her Mom and Grandpa. Looks a little like a Jackson Pollock, doesn't it?

A Snow Day - Dallas Style
Between February 11th and 12th, Dallas got almost a foot of snow - a very unusual occurrence. Even more unusual was the fact that it was also cold enough outside for the snow to last. Natalie's school closed early on the 11th and wasn't open at all on the 12th. This gave her a chance to experience the snow firsthand. Of course, since it was cold outside, Mom and Grandpa let Natalie play in the snow, but only after they had brought it into the garage to help keep Natalie out of the wind and cold. Of course, Natalie had a great time playing in the snow - she only seemed to hesitate at the thought of getting her hands wet and cold - she liked using a cup to gather up the snow instead.

January and February 2010 Catch Up
Sorry for such a long delay in posts. Since we last bogged, there have been lots of new experiences for Natalie. She's gotten to have an Indian dinner with Vinu and Charene, she had the Jayakaran family visit her at home, and she got to experience a big snowfall in Dallas. Most importantly, Natalie visited with her social worker, Beverley, for her final check-in now that Natalie is approaching her 1 year anniversary with her Mom and Dad. Natalie also got a surprise guest visitor - her Grandpa came down from Chicago to visit her.
