Third Port of Call - Cartagena, Colombia (December 26, 2009)

At this point on our cruise, it was very apparent that Natalie was an excellent traveler. She is never fussy, in fact, she's always excited to see new places. Maybe it's because she took all those long flights with us from China.

Cartagena, Colombia was one of the highlights of our cruise. The weather was now completely tropical, hot and humid. We started by grabbing a cab and exploring the old city of Cartagena. We saw all the old forts, churches and markets. After a little sightseeing and local culture, it was time for lunch, so we decided to try the local Colombian food, which was fantastic. Later in the afternoon, we took a horse-drawn carriage ride through the old city. Natalie loved seeing horses close up. She also seemed to think that she was in some sort of a parade. She loved riding along and waving to all the people. We ended our day sitting in a quite church square feeding the pigeons.
